Anyway here goes the What Could You Do With This-iness!

Act 2 - Measuring
Streams N Such Act 2 from Timon Piccini on Vimeo.
I do not have a fancy editing program, so I figured groups can have stopwatches, and we can take an average of the time. This is not exact, but it will be basically what they are doing when they do their own measurements later on, and so I think encouraging that to begin with will work.
Act 3 - ???
This is the tricky part... What is my big reveal? Do I need a reveal. The goal of this lesson is that students will find their own measurements, and then eventually find out the rate of volume per second, and so does that mean that our big reveal can be the discussion and sharing of the data that students have got? If their are any suggestion for this section I would greatly take them.
Sequel
Students will now go and do this on their own (as previously mentioned). We will be drawing cross sections of the river, and measuring discharge. This should be a good hands on activity, but I want to get them excited for it, and equipped to do this on their own. I think this is a good first step, but I need the help of the great teachers that I have found on Twitter!
Thanks Guys, you are making a better teacher out of me.
