This was the amazing sunset I got to see on my way to the great US of A. Our school went to a convention before our great Thanksgiving holiday commences. Instead of writing about it though specifically I felt like creating a list.

Things I like at conventions
There is much more to be said, but I'm about to go on the ferry. Happy Thanksgiving.

Things I don't like at conventions
- Presenters who talk, talk, talk
- Presenters who talk too much about self
- Overly philosophical presentations
- #awkwardlylongeasilyforgettableandfrustratinglydifficulthashtags2015
- Long lists of descriptions
- Choosing between too many good sessions
- Choosing between too many junk sessions
Things I like at conventions
- Good food
- Good conversations (especially over good food)
- Making connections
- Finding awesome new Twitter friends
- Getting retweeted by "that person"
- Getting a bunch of cool lesson/project ideas from a session or discussion
- Getting one big framework from a session or discussion
- Time to try what a presenter felt was worth presenting within the time of the presentation
- Swag
- Waiting less than a minute to leave the parking lot
- Hilarious texting back channels with people
- Getting the perfect hashtag
- That feeling of affirmation when you realize you do some things right
- That feeling of self righteousness when you judge somebody for doing things differently*
- Getting to enjoy the rest of the weekend with your family when it's all over
- Knowing that turkey is coming soon
There is much more to be said, but I'm about to go on the ferry. Happy Thanksgiving.
